Multiplayer connection issues - missing values in network statistics

I'm currently having issues connecting to multiplayer sessions on Xbox Live.

Having not found a solution thus far I thought I would post it here, and find out if anyone else has had this problem, and maybe even solved it.

While I'm able to connect to Xbox Live, any attempt to actually play an online game fails, and running the multiplayer connection test simply says unable to complete.

The detailed network statistics screen shows expected values for download speed and download packet loss (15mbps, 0% respectively) but does not show any value for upload speed, upload packet loss, and MTU, which seems unusual.

Suggested Information:

Country/State/Province - Christchurch, New Zealand

Modem/Router Brand & Model : - Netgear N300

Wired or wireless: - Problem occurs with wired and wireless connection

UPnP Enabled - Yes

NAT Error - No NAT error

ISP: - Slingshot

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for that info. Please see our Multiplayer Connection troubleshooting guide as it includes steps for issues pertaining to packet loss
under "You have high packet loss". While your packet loss is not currently high, any packet loss can contribute to any network issues you're experiencing.

Hey FLAKE,

Sorry to hear you're having issues with your connection.

One thing I would recommend doing is when you run the Multiplayer Connection test, hold down both bumper and both triggers to bring up the Detailed Network Statistics page.

Can you let us know what information you're seeing there.

I'm not getting those values either. It says my NAT type is open, and I can play multiplayer and watch Netflix, but I'm no able to download games from the store (i.e., Xbox Fitness). No idea what's going on.

Does this happen with any game you try to download? From Ready to Install or a Games with Gold? Can you download apps?

Go into your Network settings and select Test multiplayer connection as well as Detailed network statistics. What are the results of the multiplayer test and statistics test?

Let us know that information so we have a better idea on your network connection.

if you could please detail the statistics received when running the Detailed Network Statistics test found in the
Settings under Network Settings.
