    Multiplayer / chat not working


    NAT open

    All other xbox related setting set up correctly on router (Port forwarding)

    Now experiencing 100% packet loss / MTU not available and no connections to party chats or xbox live online play.

    Never experienced this issue before tried, various suggestions from alternative MAC address to clearing cache for DVD player but to no improvement.

    All this seems to have happened since I joined insider program, so naturally I reverted and come out of the program and re-instated current software approved for general public, also to no improvements.

    Seriously annoyed that my xbox is now a glorified paperweight as this is used to communicated with friends on a daily basis.

    Tried also connection using xbox app on PC and mobile also receiving the same error for chats! completely lost on how to resolve this issue.

    Any further ideas from anybody would be grateful!!!

    Just to sort it out:

    Are you trying to chat with the headset or the Kinect? Or isn't both working? Do understand it correctly, that party chat IS working, only ingame chat makes problems?

    Are you having portforwarding AND DMZ configured or only DMZ? Having configured both usually may cause problems.

    Are you having anything configured for your 360 on your router? Portforwarding and DMZ can only be configured for one of them, not for both simultaneously.

    What happens if you only configure UPnp?

    Can xbox live communicate across both systems?

    I dont think Cross Gen Multiplayer will be available just because games like BF4 on XboxOne will have multiplayer games of 64 32vs32 and on Xbox 360 BF4 will have multiplayer games of 24 12vs12. I would think communication as far as skype, party chat, private
    chat and messaging would work. Skype itself i think answers the communication question. Skype will work if your calling from a 360 to XboxOne.

    Hey there little mrs sun.

    Sorry to hear about the chat issues you're having, to start out, do you have this issue with all players, or is it only some? It's possible some other users are experiencing a NAT error that's preventing you from chatting with them.
