    Multiplay connection says 100 packets lost


    I cannot connect to any multiplay games, It keeps telling me that I have lost connection to the servers. I checked the network settings and the multiplayer connection report tells me that I have 100% packets lost. I have tried all
    the online instruction to fix the problem. Reset modem and Xbox, DMZ ip of Xbox, but nothing works. I have had the xbox for 2 years and have not had a problem with my hardware, this problem started about a week ago and has not resolved it self. I have tried
    to ping xboxlive.com from command prompt on my pc but the request times out... Please assist.

    xbox live not working - I can't play multiplayer!

    Everytime I try to play aw it won't let me play multiplayer and I go to take a multiplayer connection test and it says that I have 100% packet loss and idk what to do? Help?

    Hi

    Have you tried to contact your ISP and also checking out there support pages about this as it sounds like something may have changed at there end and this is preventing you from connecting to the Xbox servers. On occasions I have experienced similar issues
    when my ISP.

    Is it possible to get packet loss that exceeds 100%?

    Hey there Zac.

    Normally it's not possible to have more than 100% packet loss, and if someone is experiencing that, they will have no connection to the game, or the server.

    If for some strange reason the packet loss does go over 100%, its most likely because the console is still attempting to send requests to the servers, and the packets are just failing on the way there. therefor being lost. But this is really an anomaly and
    doesnt normally happen.

    You are not getting what i'm saying mate...

    I never said 100% packet loss.. You can have continuous packet loss or signal deterioration on your connection.. [DSL, ADSL or Cable] & your connection will still sync to the ISP & you are able to use XBOX Live!...

    If you had 100% packet loss, you wouldn't even be albe to surf the net...

    ..

    Any packets that are lost or out of order, will be Requested again, to make sure the all the data is sent or received properly & collated by the Network adapter, that creates a CPU interupt to process the packets etc..

    In that time, you will experience lag or RTP problems..

    I used to see this all the time, when I worked for an ISP...
