Multi-player disconnection

I just got lagged out three games in a row while playing team slayer on halo 5 multi-player online. I hard reset my Xbox twice and that didn't help. I would get momentarily disconnected from party chat and then lagged out of game and chat. My NAT is open.
What the heck is going on? Some assistance would be appreciated. I've been playing this game without lagging out like this for months. Three times in a row is just too much for it to be a coincidence, there must be an issue here. I was getting an error code
for the chat disconnection which coincided with the lagging out 9X89...etc I didn't right it all out but I noticed there is a thread up on that error and no solution for that problem yet.

Killer Instinct will send disconnecting players to jail

Personally, I don't really play Killer Instinct that much but I saw something interesting online.

Free-to-play Xbox One fighter Killer Instinct will soon receive an update to punish disconnecting players, sending them into a matchmaking jail.

Here's how it works: After their first 10 matches, a ranked match player will be shipped off to "jail" if they notch up a 15 percent or higher disconnection ratio. When in jail, players can only fight against other jailed players, with first offenders forced to slug it out with the other naughty fighters for 24 hours.

The length of punishment will be increased by 24 hours every time a player is sent to the Killer Instinct jail, with a cap of five days. After serving time, players are released back among the normal players--but will be sent to jail again if they disconnect a match while their percentage is still higher than 15 percent.

Any match that ends with a player being jailed will count as an automatic loss for the disconnecting player, Double Helix adds.

The update is yet to be formally dated, but developer Double Helix Games says it is coming soon. The patch will also include a new character, Spinal, alongside other general updates and fixes.Click to expand...

Xbox Live Keeps Disconnecting While Playing Gears of wars 3

idk why but when i play gow 3 got some random disconnection

never got random disconnection.

started during gow 3

When using the forums please quote the full error code message you have received it makes it easier for us to find out what is wrong.

Have you tried disconnecting and then setting up your network again on your xbox?

Disconnecting the power cable from the xbox and then reconnecting it? (sounds weird but it has sorted out an internet problem for me before)

Whenever I get disconnected with a multi-player session but the game functions fine on its own, I typically remove and re-download all of the multi-player content.

It's definitely not a router or ISP problem. It's an Xbox Live problem. I can play in a multi player game without getting disconnected but as soon as I go to do something else I get disconnected.

Yea me to. But I have been playing Modern Warfare 3 and getting Disconnected alot when im playing online multi-player

I'm not sure that it's as bad as ^ this guy makes it out to be. I rarely struggle with disconnects. Quick scopes and drop shots are really annoying though. I enjoy the multi-player, but I enjoyed MW2 more.
