    I own 5 consoles all Xbox ones, I have 3 original Xbox ones and 2 Xbox one S's, all 3 original Xbox one have no form off internet disturbances but both Xbox one s consoles have the same issue, both Xbox one s consoles disconnect from Xbox live randomly for
    15 seconds and turns back on like nothing happened? I have phoned in 6 times and every time it claims I have a red exclamation point next to both Xbox one s but not the originals

    New, And need some help!

    I'd love to help with this as I'm pretty good at fixing this exact issue but the troubleshooting requires me knowing more about the make/model of firewall you are running..

    In general terms this is very common on Linksys hardware, and typically you need to login to your firewall (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) as the admin user (usually "admin" with a blank password or "admin" as the user and password).

    In there you need to find the DHCP settings and look for 'MTU'. By default most devices have 'auto' MTU (which is fail-whale on older Linksys hardware), and for XBox Live to be happy you need an MTU of 1364 or better, I just put 1492 in and save the settings. (If you have some crazy WindowsXP computers on the same connection then use 1480 for the MTU)

    That should get you connected to XBox live without the intermittent failures..

    AAAaaaarrrrggghhh!! = XBox Live MTU issue !!

    No, I think the MTU message in this instance is just a last ditch error message, it isn't really complaining about MTU I think its really saying "I can't connect to live.. " and just gives an MTU error as it doesn't know how else to describe it.

    A lot of Xbox MTU error messages are nothing to do with MTU just a failure to connect :)

    If you have DSL, then most likely the MTU on the router is at 1500 and that is incorrect for DSL. Change your MTU to 1492 or ask your ISP what the MTU setting should be, most DSL is set at 1492

    I think that the problem is from MTU, I was using 1382 and it war work. Last week I was playing on that MTU. Now Im tried alot of MTU but nothing is changed.
