    MTU ISSUES


    Hello,

    My Xbox Series X has been having issues with MTU.

    I’ve tried every fix offered by Xbox, from rebooting to resetting our WiFi.

    I haven’t tried putting my Xbox in the DMZ, as truth be told I’m unsure of how to do it and a bit wary.

    I’m currently using my phones 5G as a hotspot, but still get the MTU issues.

    We have 2 Xbox’s in our household and are unable to even play locally.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    For updated info on situation

    From what ive seen its fixed just need to update our home devices.

    Power off your router/modem for 5 mins.

    That should resolve it.

    I was just in a chat session with Microsoft support and she asked me to change my MTU setting to 1475 on my 2Wire router. I did and I can now connect to XBL. I had spent about an hour on the phone with AT&T making sure the MTU was set to 1500 and I could
    not connect at that setting. AT&T then suggested I contact Microsoft.

    Hey mate, when you connected directly to your modem, did you take a few seconds to power-cycle it? You'll run into issues if the power isn't reset on the modem. If you've tried that, you'll need to continue working with your ISP, as the issue is with the
    base connection, and not any network settings on your end.
