    MTU error? What is it and how do I fix it?


    I have an error whenever I try to connect to Xbox live on my only profile it says i have an mtu error with no error code. I can still play but not on Xbox live . I was wondering what exactly it is and how to fix it. I tried what was recommended but nothing
    happened and when I got the error survey report I could not understand it. I also tried running an eather net cord straight to my Xbox and still had no connection.

    My Xbox 360 is acting up for some reason...

    When i go into any game on Xbox live my Xbox starts lagging really bad and i cant talk to any of my friends or join games. My person becomes unable to move so i cant play the game. sometimes when i try to go online my Xbox comes up with the error saying...

    when i tried to sign into my friends account on my Xbox it wouldn't work either so i just gave up but today i went over to my friends house and my profile worked there and we played for 4 hours. I came home later and tried my Xbox again and it actually worked
    for about 10 minutes then it started lagging really bad and my friends in my party could not hear me.

    What is wrong and how do i fix it?

    Wireless?Hmm....Is there anyway you can plug right in to the 360 just to test your connection?This way we can rule out the game,360,etc...Also try clearing your sytem catche...

    AAAaaaarrrrggghhh!! = XBox Live MTU issue !!

    No, I think the MTU message in this instance is just a last ditch error message, it isn't really complaining about MTU I think its really saying "I can't connect to live.. " and just gives an MTU error as it doesn't know how else to describe it.

    A lot of Xbox MTU error messages are nothing to do with MTU just a failure to connect :)

    I read about that your Modem is for DSL. What Error do you get? Something with MTU?

    If yes, is there an option where you can set MTU? The max MTU you can use as DSL user is 1492 NOT 1500. Try this and restartr your Modem.
