MSIXVC folder taking more space than it should

Hi MohammmedElshobaki! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

Only if you have saved the file location prior moving/deleting the files, if you can't restore the files you will need to reinstall the games

MSIXVC folder is taking 212 GB

Hi Iol-gamer! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

If you delete something from the folder you could lose access to some games, as there are files that keeps being used while you use the games

Deleting Xbox Games Pass Games. "You don't currently have permission to access this folder"

I'm having what I assume is the same problem. All the space has disappeared from an SSD.

After a bit of a struggle I got access to the WindowsApps folder and found the MSIXVC folder has 120Gb of files sat in there.

Is this an installation folder that should be empty if you don't currently have anything mid-installation?

If I manually delete things from this folder, will it have a knock-on effect anywhere else?

How do I manually delete things from this folder / get Xbox (Beta) to flush the folder correctly?

    Thanks.

I'm Samy an independent advisor. Welcome to the Xbox community. How are you?

On your hard drive, you will have a folder called ''WindowsApps'' enter, enter the folder ''MSIXVC'' delete all files inside it. Restart your PC and try again.

You will need to take ownership of the folder to access and delete the files.

Installed games through Xbox Beta taking up twice the hard drive space

So in order to delete the files in the MSIXVC folder you have to kill the Stub Service program for the Xbox app; however, if you delete the files in said folder, the folders for the games themselves (i.e. PrivateDivision.TheOuterWorldsWindows10) become
inaccessible along with all the contents of the folder. It says that the resource or folder is no longer available. So that leads me to believe that the files in the MSIXVC folder remain as a virtual mounted drive of sorts. If I restore the file from the recycle
bin, the folder is accessible again. I verified this with Bloodstained as well. This needs to be fixed.
