I was playing some minecraft with my friends, and then we decided to play No mans sky. But then it wouldn't load past the game pass logo, thought maybe it's because of an update. So I start up rocket league, same problem. Ok maybe it's just game pass games(tried
multiple times to start up both games). Now I put in my division 2 disk in, and that doesn't load. Getting frustrated I restart my xbox and, when it loads up the only button on my controller that works is the home button. I turn it off and go too sleep.

Wake up today and my controller is fine, but it says I'm not connected to internet. No problem went to network settings, setup network, type in password, and I get to an option to either, 'authenticate now' or 'enter alternative MAC adress'. Since I didnt
know what a 'MAC address' was I choose authenticate now.

When I press authenticate now, it takes me to a page http:192.168.1.1/httpi.lp?url=www.msftconnecttest.com

All it shows is please check the following:

I found this weird because you cant get google chrome on xbox one, or firefox.

What's even stranger is that, I can still connect to the internet/ use it. YouTube, no mans sky, twitch, mixer. But it wont let me play some games like tom Clancy's division 2, because I dont have xbox live? When I have gamepass ultimate.

Alternative MAC address

When I choose this option it takes me to advanced settings. I go down the list until the MAC address button. When here I can either 'clear' or 'Manual' because I was scared of the 'clear' I chose manual. And it just gives me a text box. I dont know what
to type in there so I decided to press clear. When i did it said to restart my xbox. I did and nothing has changed. (It does tell me I'm connected to ipv4 and something about ipv6???)

What do I do? Tempted to just sell my xbox, and buy a pc.

I am also scared that this could be exploited because, I can use the internet without me even typing in the password. I connected to my neighbors wifi, without password. But I disconnected because that's wrong. But someone else maybe could have done something
worse. Pls fix.

You could try to select clear alternate mac address. This resets the xbox and can clear alot of network issues. Should be right under where it asked you for the alternative.

I had the same issue with the forums, when the oops page loads make sure you are signed in with your xbox profile in upper right corner of the page, if you are close window and try again if not sign in then close window and retry. This worked for me. Hope
