MSfs2020 not detected in the download/updates

FS2020 will not show as an installed game when I try to "update" through the MS store. Only will show every app but FS. when I click on the "download/update option in the dropdown.

Hello LarryDeery,

Try to clear the Microsoft Store cache by following the steps below:

Press Windows Key + R to launch Run.
Enter wsreset.exe and hit Enter.
Once the reset process finished, restart your PC and then check again.

To solve this please try the official solution provided by the game developers. For this follow the instructions below.

Install the 'Xbox' app from the Windows Store and launch it. Then go back to 'Downloads and Updates' in MS Store and 'Get Updates' and the MSFS update may appear.

The solution consist of the following steps:

Install the Xbox App from the Windows Store (link) and launch it
Then, go back to Microsoft Store > ... > Downloads and Updates > Get Updates

If the Xbox app is already installed, try to repair/Reset Xbox app:

Select Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features
Select the Xbox app
Select the Advanced options link under the name of the app.
On the page that opens, select Repair if it's available. If it isn't available or doesn't fix the problem, select Reset.
Start Xbox app and launch the game

I have not had any issue with connecting to the server with MSFS2020 on the Xbox X since the launch date.

I am now reinstalling MSFS2020 and will try again and give an update

Hi guys. So i've recently also wanted to copy over my MSFS2020 from my PC to my laptop and followed the instructions posted by DeckedBeret1566. I have copied the 'Official' and 'Community' folder from my PC (D:\Games\MSFS2020) to my laptop (C:\Games\MSFS2020).
However when I select (C:\Games\MSFS2020) in the installer, it proceeds to download the entire game from scratch. Perhaps I am missing something?
