MSFS doesn't work

Check for updates on Windows Update and install everything including optional/additional updates.

Check if your time zone is set to automatic in settings>date and time

Check if these services are running

Press the Windows Button then type Services.

Right-click over the Services App from the list of results.

Then select Run as Administrator

Scroll to the bottom and find the following services:

IP Helper

Xbox Live Auth Manager,

Xbox Live Game Save,

Xbox Live Networking Service.

Do this with each of the services listed above.

Right-click over the service and select Properties.

Find the Startup type section and make sure it’s set to Automatic.

If the service isn’t started, click Start to start the services.

Click Apply and OK to save changes.

Then try the game again.

Please make sure your windows and all its services are up to date:

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available;

If all is up to date, try this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

I don't even have WIFI in my desktop PC, it's gigabit ethernet all the way and it still doesn't work.

Edit:

I went to "Reset this PC" in Windows 10, wiped everything (clean install), installed only Google Chrome and Steam (no drivers or other software), installed MSFS from Steam and it still doesn't work. The problem is definitely either in MSFS itself or with
their servers.

Ok. That allowed MSFS to start. Now MSFS is giving me a message that a required update is needed and to update from the Microsoft store. But I've run the updates from the store and it says everything is up to date and MSFS doesn't give me an option to trigger a manual update.

So now what?

I have the same issue. Yesterday morning MSFS was working, when starting MSFS a couple hours later the issue was there. Nothing changed in the mean time.
