MSFS does not save settings

MSFS (Standard Edition) is not saving settings. Each time the program is started, it behaves as if it is being run for the first time.

In order to try to solve the issue, I did a complete uninstall (removed all traces of it on disk) and then reinstalled. This did not solve the problem. The Community directory is empty, so it is not a problem with an add-on. All activity is performed through the Xbox PC application.

The installation on my laptop does not exhibit this problem. I would expect that settings would be synchronized to the cloud, but evidently this is not happening on my main rig.

Well, sometimes the simple things are the ones that fixes the things.

I didn't advise you this due to the issue was happening only with Flight Sim

But I'm glad to hear that now everything's working as usual.
I'm going to keep that in mind for the future!

Thanks, but how do I contact someone else? I got here through the Xbox application.

I am certainly not prepared to reinstall Windows just to play MSFS. If that is the only solution, I will ask for a refund.

Maybe the game still thinks that you're on it

If yes, let's try something different.

Create a new local admin user on your PC and try running the game from there and test how it goes:

This has happenned to Me as Well - Insider Program for SU10 Beta Then LEFT - Then my System Overwrte all my old settings - Lost Controler settings.
It Does not Save any new Settings -
As if the Config is Hard Coded - (Read Only)
