MSFS Crashing

Discus and support MSFS Crashing in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have MSFS running on a Windows 11 machine. It was working fine.     MSFS Crashing


    I have MSFS running on a Windows 11 machine. It was working fine. I noticed my PC had DirectX 12 so I changed the DirectX version to 12 Beta in MSFS. Now when I try to open the game, I get a window that says Launching game..., then just the game crashes and doesn't open. I believe it is because of the DirectX setting. Is it possible to update the DirectX setting in the game without actually opening the game and going to options?

    I think the option is only available on the in-game menu. In this case, you can see if the option to repair and reset the game appears on Start > Settings > Apps > MSFS > Advanced options. If it is not there, you would need to reinstall the game. Sorry about this.

    That article describes crashes or crashes to desktop, neither of which I'm experiencing. This is a loop where Xbox Live doesn't seem to let me log in, sends me back to MSFS which send me back to Xbox Live to log in. Nothing is crashing. I can confirm that all updates are installed via the MS Store, including all relevant Gaming Services updates. I'm not keen on stripping down everything on my PC - hardware, software and drivers every time I get an MSFS issue, which is what the article suggests. I may as well just have a dedicated MSFS PC with nothing else on it. It really shouldn't be this difficult. It seems every couple of weeks there's another issue.
