MSFS 2020 Transaction in progress

Hello, after attempting to contact Zendesk multiple times, all I’ve gotten was the same auto-generated reply containing steps I have already taken numerous times.

I’m trying to use the marketplace on Microsoft Flight Simulator for the Xbox series S. I have been able to purchase items before, but now any time I click “buy and download”, I get an error message stating “Purchase pending: Another transaction is still pending” and eventually a notification stating “Purchase Cancelled”.

I am not cancelling the purchase, my payment options are current and have been removed and replaced, I have restarted my console, logged out of my profile, closed the game, checked my network and still cannot do anything.

Others have had this problem and claim it was from a stuck transaction caused by using the quick-resume feature, but Zendesk doesnt try to clear my purchase and simply puts me in the same loop I’ve been trying.

If anyone has any ideas I’d appreciate the help. Thanks!

This is happening to me and I’ve just reinstalled 200gb+ after a console reset.

Come on Microsoft. This is an issue.

Your denying developers money if this isn’t fixed.

I’ll give it a week or two then I’m buying a PS5. Stuff MSFS. Had so many problems do something that’s a console based game.

Why does it say "Another transaction in progress"?

Any Microsoft employees here that can answer to that?

We had exactly the same issue until yesterday. We got the same responses from Zendesk, log out/log in, check payment options, uninstall and reinstall the game etc. Contacted Microsoft, no great help there either, ended up sending me to Zendesk anyway.

Here's how we finally resolved the issue ourselves,

We reset the xbox console to a factory reset. It's working perfectly now.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. Have you tried fully uninstalling the game and reinstalling it to see if that clears any of the transactional issues you are experiencing? We understand it's a big game, but try that and see if you are still experiencing those issues.
