MS, YOU pushed All Digital... Some of us Embraced it... Now FIX THE STORAGE ISSUE!!!

When XB1 was first announced, the big push from MS was all Digital Downloads. Although most people didn't like all the rules associated with it, a LOT of us did like the idea of downloading ALL our games. There was even a sticky-post survey on the Xbox One
General Discussion forum prior to launch that showed nearly 50% of us planned to ONLY download our games and never buy discs again.

So, here I am, EMBRACING your all digital Utopian vision of the future of gaming, AND MY HARD DRIVE IS FULL!!!! On the support website, your solution is to DELETE one of my games (that took over an hour to download) to make room for whatever I want to download
now... are you friggin' kidding me? That's like going to the Doctor when your arm hurts while driving and the Doctor telling you not to drive! When I'm switching back and forth between games, I shouldn't have to wait an hour to RE download a game!!!

So, I don't really care HOW you fix it... Sell your own MS proprietary external drive, or add support for an external drive, or heck, even offer an XB1 with a 1TB option!!! There are several, basic, middle school kid could do it fixes to this issue, and
you are the largest software company on planet earth; there is NO excuse for this 3 months after launch. It's like you sold me a brand new Corvette that only has a gas tank large enough for 5 gallons of gas. Fix the XB1 Limited Storage Problem!!!

Live TV Quality Degrades After Update

Lordkramuk - Yes, MS is aware of the issue. I am in the Xbox Preview program and it has been an issue for some of the testers (myself included) since the first Sept preview build was released to us almost 3 weeks ago. Yet, for whatever reason, MS went
ahead and pushed the Sept update to everyone on Friday anyway...

Having said that, MS did release another September build to us preview users last night (xb_rel_1409.140829-1829) with a potential fix for the issue and it did fix the jittery video for some/most of the preview users (including myself, I have Time Warner
Cable in USA). My guess is it will be pushed out to everyone in the next few days (barring any other issues that come up, of course).

 

Internet Connection will NOT be Required to play Offline Xbox One Games

Digital will sell itself. It took me awhile to get use to the steam concept. I think by allowing people to choose between them will have its advantages. I do like physical copies and i never sell my games. I do buy used when i can. But for the most part i think you'll see people embrace the digital front. Some people will not off the bat but at least this way MS has given them the choice. Eventually i believe digital will be the preferred method. Let them jump in when their ready and see the benefits other people are getting by using the digital model. Then they'll convert. Lead the horse to water to so to speak.

 

I hear you. I can't tell how much memory I have left because my system won't update, but im sure im up there. A 500gb hard drive is a joke at best when looking at the sizes of some of these games. A 2 TB should have been the minimum. I seriously doubt external
support is gonna be a top priority for them to work on either.

 

With the latest update, you should be able to see your available HD space now.

Although, if you're like me and download all your games, the available space display may be depressing to look at, LOL.

 

@Phoenix. I 110% agree... I said this in another thread also... They wanted this Digital world, now they make it impossible to do at this point. I am having a hard time defending a machine that cant defend itself.
