Does anyone know if we are going to get a small wireless headset for the Xbox One the same as the 2 we had for the 360. I used to love these little headsets. Also are we going to get a chatpad, that was without a doubt my favourite accessory lol. I like
the smartglass but like the accessibility of the chatpad

    :)

Will the Xbox One have the headset connect to the bottom or the front of the controller?

I can use my 360 chatpad and headset at the same time. Also MS hasn't announced a chatpad for the One yet so that point is a little mute

How to set up and use the Xbox 360 Chatpad

You can easily chat with your friends on Xbox LIVE using the Xbox 360 Chatpad. The Chatpad is very helpful for sending text messages quickly.

How to connect the Xbox Chatpad to a controller

To connect the Xbox Chatpad to a controller, follow the steps below:

    • First, you need to turn the controller and the Xbox 360 Chatpad so that the bottom of each faces up.
    • The chatpad connector plug needs to be aligned with the controller’s expansion port. You have to align the two posts on the chatpad with the holes on the controller.
    • Finally, you need to push the chatpad onto the controller with even pressure to attach. You have to ensure that there is no gape between the chatpad and the controller.
You can also connect an Xbox 360 Wired Headset or a mobile phone headset with the Xbox 360 Chatpad. To connect a headset, you need to plug it into the 2.5-mm audio jack on the chatpad.

    Notes:

    • You can connect the Xbox 360 Chatpad with both the Xbox 360 wired or wireless controllers.
    • But you cannot use the Xbox 360 Chatpad with a controller connected to a personal computer.

    MS wireless headset and chatpad.

Nothing is concrete yet but I would be very surprised if we did not see an official wireless headset for the Xbox One in the future.

As for a chatpad, you could always use the Smartglass app if you have a smartphone?? It makes typing messages etc on your Xbox One much easier.

    Xbox wireless headset on pc

It will work with the following: -

    • Up to 8 wireless controllers simultaneously without headsets
    • Up to 4 wireless controllers simultaneously with mono single ear headsets
    • Up to 2 wireless controllers simultaneously with stereo headsets
As it uses Xbox Wireless (the same wireless protocol that Xbox consoles use), you get more functionality than you would get if you were using Bluetooth. It also supports all official accessories, such as the Chatpad.

With Bluetooth, MS recommend you only use 1 controller at a time and accessories are not supported.

    Wireless Controller

The one on the back of the wireless controller is for the Play and Charge kit. The 'two others' you describe are actually one port which is designed to be used for the Xbox 360 Chatpad accessory. The Chatpad actually connects to both this port and the
microphone port, thus allowing the use of a Chatpad and headset at the same time.

Why isn’t the Chatpad in the Xbox store?

    That doesn’t make any sense.

While the Chatpad does have a headset jack, but it’s primary function was to add a wireless keyboard to the controllers.
