MS Store

So I pre-ordered there to get the $15 for being an Xbox Rewards member. The order stated: "Plus, pre-order by 2PM PST on August 21st and get it the day it's released." I finally get my order notification this afternoon and it says arrives 3-7 business
days. Anybody every pre-order from there, have the shipment notification say this, and then actually get the game on release?

Overall not a big deal but I also have Halo 5 ordered though them and was wondering if I could expect the same or if the games actually come release day.

Take it to a local MS store if you can.

 

Why wouldn't you contact the MS store and ask?

 

I am going to have my wife do it when she gets here. I would but I have poison ivy in my ears (and a lot of other places). And I am highly allergic to it. Anyway, I have loud ringing, pain, and itching. Luckily no ear damage and the medication I am taking
will take care of it. Just figured I would see if anyone else had this and the game was actually the next day before I had her call. And if it misses no big deal.

 

Well wife called. Guess the release day delivery is not guaranteed. The CS rep said that you have to pay for the $17 express shipping and then it would get to me within 2 days. And she asked about the Halo 5 order and it is 3-7 days. And I would have
to pay $17 to get that within 2 days of release. Basically,

only means that you may get it on release if you pay for the express shipping which can take 2 days from shipment. Even the Xbox Live Rewards site mentions the free release day delivery. Still supposed to get the $15 (15,000 rewards credits) for each pre-order
though the rewards. Hope that comes though since that was the reason I pre-ordered from the MS Store.

 

You're better off using Best Buy's Gamer's Club unlocked. You save $12 right off the bat on new releases and most high profile games have a pre order bonus of $10 or so. I'm pretty sure you get release date shipping too without having to pay for it.
