MS Stereo headset monitor not working

I cannot hear my own voice using the Xbox One stereo headset. It seems like there is no monitor or that it's not working. It ruins the chat experience and feels like you're yelling at your friends. Is there a firmware update coming for this or is it
just not a feature at all? Other than this make or break feature this headset seems like a VERY good value. BTW after updating .y controller I left all audio settings on default.

Anyone got a Turtle Beach Ear Force Stealth 500X headset?

There's no fix available, unfortunately. I asked in the preview program section of the forums the other day if MS were working on fixes and I was told that they're still looking into it, but it's been months now.

I went back to using the MS Stereo Headset for a while, because while the latency all but disappears when you use the 500X in stereo mode, you still get the "headset assigned" issue. I recently bought a pair of Astro A40s, so my 500X and MS Stereo Headset
will be going on eBay next week.

 

XBOX ONE Stereo Headset Static Problem....

I got my Headset / adapter on the 2/26/2014, from MS store. An after March 5, console update, and updating my controller. everything is working fine, great sound to the headset. Support is telling you March 7, because the MS Store, stop shipping them until
March 7, because of the update for the controller was not out. If your console is updated, with March 5 update, then you have the controller update too.

Let's hope they add a mic monitoring feature to the headset adapter soon!!!

 

I agree. What a huge disappointment. I can only imagine what people are thinking who bought a $250 headset... Back to my mono headset. And they originally were planning on not releasing the mono headset at all! Lol. I hope the feature can be patched in.
