MS Solitaire not running on user that played MS Solitaire prior to Windows 10 upgrade. Other ...

Hi, I have seen many posts about MS Solitaire having problems after the Windows 10 Upgrade but cannot find anyone posting this one.

To be fair my more important Apps seems to running very well so although this is not that important I would like to be able to play it as under the same user as before.

I've posted this on the MS forum too.

My problem is that MS Solitaire not running on user that played MS Solitaire prior to Windows 10 upgrade. Other users are on the PC are OK



The App loads, but when I select either one of the Solitaire games directly or via the daily Challenge, the game starts to load, i.e it goes to the blue screen but before ”the buffering/loading Ace of Hearts cards symbol round thing” has done one revolution
the App just drops out. There is no failure or error message.



I’ve tried all the cache related things I’ve found like WSReset.exe and renaming the cache folder [C:\Users\{Username}\AppData\Local\Packages\winstore_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Cache]



I have now realised that this user automatically logs into an Xbox account I must have associated with it in the past. Other users on this desktop PC just use an Xbox Guest account and work fine



Any Ideas, there’s no help in the Xbox pages I’ve read?

Star Club for Windows 8 users

I play the Microsoft Solitaire Collection on my PC running Windows 8. Will the Star Club games ever be available for Windows 8 users? I do not, at this time, want to upgrade to Windows 8.1. Thanks for your assistance.

 

Can't download any updates so can't play Daily Challenges

MS Solitaire now has a mandatory upgrade, but since all installs from the Windows Store hang (as Pending), I cannot install it. This stops me from playing any Daily Challenges and is on a Surface RT running Windows 8.1 RT.
