MS setting us up for costly repairs?

I love Xbox - always have - but I hate Microsoft's business model of shafting their loyal customer base at every turn. Maybe I'm too much of a cynic but I do wonder if the absence of a hand's-free eject option and the default always-on state of the power
brick (complete with 24 hour running fan) are examples of a bias towards wear and tear on the components. The requirement to press that damn button every time you want to eject a disk is particularly unnecessary.

    :)

    Forgotten network songs

Why does XO kero forgetting my network settings and passwords. Over had to manually set up the network multiple times. Super frustrating for a console as costly add this one.

Bought 12 Months +1 Month +800 Points, told to wait 3 months for points, now have to post here! What a joke!

Why are the points not credited instantly when I joined LIVE?

They should be, no reason why Microsoft can't instantly credit new accounts with the promo points!

Seems like a stupid method, and time consuming, and costly for MS!

So I have to ask this. Do you not have to still get up and remove the disk even if you had that ability?

Your examples do not show a "bias" towards anything. The console fan runs because the system is always on- if you are concerned unplug it. My servers have been running for 6 years 24/day never replaced a fan.

I think you are overreacting and in all reality many modern day electronics run 24/7. But you have a choice- Unplug it.

Yes. I know I have a choice, and I do unplug it, but my point is why not make the default option the safer and less costly one. I do not have a choice not to press the button. You misunderstand my complaint is not that I have to get up and collect the disk
    - of course I do - the complaint is that I am forced to press a physical, breakable button every time when pretty much very other piece of electronics produced for the past 3 decades has allowed some sort of remote eject precisely for the purpose of reducing
wear and tear on the equipment, There is no excuse for removing the ability to remote eject especially since it was on the 360 from day one.

  7. You can have the console shut down fully if you check that option. Don't buy physical copies of games, I only bought two and I regret it. The 360's disc would spin almost all the time just at a low speed. I noticed my Xbox One's drive runs constantly
too. The button is touch sensitive, I think that will last far longer than a normal button.

I personally feel the Xbox One was half baked. It should have been given another 6 months to a year. But we're early adopters and thats why you have these fears and minor issues.

Thank you, but is there an possibility GameStop or any game selling place would be able to repair it, 59.99 is a bit costly.
