ms-resource:appname xbox one apps

So last night while I was trying to sleep, my xbox one was making some really funky noises about 10 minutes after I shut it off so I just unplugged it. When I came home today and went to play it, it was stuck on the green loading screen for about 10 minutes
until it finally loaded (usually takes seconds). And now several of my games have a black icon and have a title of "ms-resource:appname". It's quite the annoyance since I don't know which game is which now. Does anyone know what's going on?

I'm afraid for this particular issue the best fix is going to be performing an Xbox One Factory Reset. Check out this page to

Reset Xbox One To Factory Defaults. Unfortunately with a factory reset you'll need to re-install and re-download your content but this should clear up the issue for you.

I am also experiencing this issue. Last night my xbox sounded like it was turning on but it wasn't so I unplugged it and today it has removed the icon For Assassins Creed Unity, Battlefield hardline, Borderlands the Pre-Sequel and Child of light renamed
all of those games to "ms-resource:AppName"

 

I am Also having this issue, same as both of you with the turning on sound, so naturally i just turned it off, turned on this morning with 5 of my games saying ms-resource:AppName, i can still play them but i haven't got a clue what im playing till it loads,
microsoft needs to sort this out ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could you guys try to load these games from the Game and Apps tile, instead on the dashboard.

 

Iamvinj, whether it is loaded from the game and apps, or the dashboard, it is still the same issue.

 

Did you guys find a fix to this problem? Did this problem come With the last update? I got this exact same problem today, although I didn't really have any problem during start-up and shutdown. I did unplugg the console to move to my New appartment.

 

Sadly, I have not.. and it seems to have happened with the last update.. No other problems with the xbox, the way it runs, or anything. Just titles..

 

So I talked to someone on the support and he said to fix it, we have to do a factory reset..... that this happens when you unplug/interrupt an update.. fml

 

I am having the same problems with the April update. Xbox video, media player, Halo: Spartan assault, lords of the fallen, Max: the curse of brotherhood and ms-resource;AppName pictures are not showing.

 

Like I said above, you have to do a factory reset on your console.. It's what I did and everything is working fine. You, of course, have to re-download everything.. But you don't have to pay for the things that you have already purchased.

 

do you loose all content ie: have to restart game etc etc..
