MS Password not recognized on Xbox 360 Console - can login account via Browser

Tried to sign in to my XBox account via the console with exact account/password that I use on the web. I cannot. Tried to change the password on the console. Sucessful. Tried to sign-in again on the console with changed password. Still does not let
me in. Go to web site. Now, I cannot login with original password or the one that was changed from console. Needed to recover my account on the web. How can I get my console to accept this new password?

Hypothetical question about account bans and game sharing

They can play game you purchased on home console without using your account login. So, they are not using your account to play online. Not unless someone fooled you into getting your account password.

Cannot access Xbox Live with old Gamertag

When I first tried to login to my Xbox 360 with DrawnCloth47143 I received the error Microsoft account is associated with a different xbox live profile

Tried to change gamertag failed. Cannot connect to xbox live.

Deleted gamertag only from console and recreated gamertag. Now I can access xbox live but it is

empty.

How can I determine what the email and password were if the account is not recognized?

I bet you are frustrated with this issue!!! If you were successful in changing the password on your account, download your profile back to the console. Hit the big silver X button on your controller and scroll down to "Download Profile". It should start
downloading. Your console only knows the password that you have stored on the console. When you "download" the profile back to the console you override that information and store the new password on the console. Hope this helps.

Yep the same here, UPC, Warsaw, Poland.

I'm pretty sure that's not a connection issue, coz yesterday i was able to connect and download big update for battlefield 4. I've got this problem since i change my Microsoft account password in web browser. Unfortunately it looks
like Xbox didn't recognize new password. In my opinion console try to connect to Xbox Live using old password but it does it atomatically,without asking user for any login or password.

I found a permanent solution that works. Login to your Microsoft account from a PC. setup 2 step verification. Then setup an 'app' password. (An app password is used to login to older MS devices like xbox 360 or windows 8 phone). Then login to your xbox
360 using the app password instead of your regular password. Then, select remember my password (if you want it to login without putting your password each time) .

I tested it. It works good. The problem initially occurred on my family profiles/xboxes that didn't have 'remember my password' enabled.

Same here, I changed my email and password on my ms account, so I think that's what's causing it. But I changed the password on my console, same with email, you aren't allowed to sign back in without changing it, so I also suspect it's just an isp issue
