As I said in the other thread on this topic. If that was the gameplay I'd probably be falling over myself to pay the monthly sub.

But it's not. It's just a Computer Generated trailer.

To add insult to injury, besides slapping you with the responsibility to pay for the game 3 times over in the course of a year... "TESO" will also feature a ONLINE SHOP for Micro-transactions.

Also they just released news of "The Imperial Edition" which if I'm reading the feedback on Bethesda's Official Forums correctly... means that for an extra £20.00 you can play as a race that's not available to others?!?!?!

I'm a huge Elder Scrolls fan but the way Bethesda is handling this gamers will be lucky to still be wearing their socks once this game is done fleecing them.

I hate using my tablet to post meh. As I was saying before my tablet decided I was done typing and posted on its own a new single player Elder Scrolls game is far more preferable to the MMO. I've played all of the old games and am very skeptical of ESO because
of the failure rates of most MMO games plus the whole 15 bucks a month to play thing on top of paying for a yearly gold subscription.

LOL. If there were an extra charge to play Titanfall online that wouldn't be cool. You shouldn't be charged on top of XBL. That's all the OP is talking about.

No, JUIC3. OP is complaining and whining at Microsoft because Bethesda is charging on top of Xbox LIVE, ON TOP of charging an initial retail price of $60 and apparently STILL add micro-transactions.

And to your quote, that isn't even what 'jamie the gun' was talking about. He was laughing at the people who come to these forums complaining about NOT being able to use Xbox LIVE Gold features without paying for Xbox LIVE Gold. 'jamie' made a hilarious,
hypothetical example that these same people will likely come back and complain that you need to pay for Xbox LIVE Gold to play the multiplayer on Titanfall.

With all this pressure on ms to drop the gold requirement for this 1 game, where's the pressure on Bethesda to drop the monthly fee for gold subscribers? I already pay for Gold, why do I have pay this, too??

The $15 fee is there regardless what platform you play it on, so it's probably safe to assume Live is required because Microsoft is hosting part of the ESO server base themselves. This would make sense, to spread out server load to prevent crashing.

The only disappointment I have is there's no try it before you buy it option.

It is against the forum rules to create comparison threads, or turn a discussion into a comparison thread. This rule is in place because comparison threads usually only lead to console wars and rants about which console has the better specs or fps. I will
leave this thread unlocked so long as the set discussion point remains the focus. That being elder scrolls and gold membership. There is no need at all to being in other console manufactures.

Do not discuss topics that are not related to Xbox or the topic of the forum. This includes creating comparison threads involving other console manufactures.
