MS needs to make this happen (disc scratch fixes)

There's gotta be a way for us to put our Disc in the tray and MS to send us maybe the 10 megabytes we need to continue installing. This day in age, you can't tell me there's no way to verify! FINE! don't verify it, we waste our bandwidth doing so. Everyone
else says install off your friends game disc! Well this would be almost the same. MS helps us get the few bits of data so we can fully install our game form a scratched disc, Xbox One unit still reads the disc verification off the disc so It would be quite
simple. Don't say MS can't afford the storage space, MS already has thousands of games in it's online library for download.

MS develop a way for us to get those bits of data so we can install games and not have to "ask a friend". I live in a rural area, having a "friend" isn't always possible. Trust me I'm thinking about creating a facebook group in my area for this specific reason.
MS could cut that out by helping it's customers. It would and could also stop EBGames or any other game seller from making a few extra dollars by making us pay for disc protection. Make it happen, this technology would not be too far-fetched!

I throw in a game and get updates for 60 gb, which renders my ability to play that game as useless. My monthly bandwidth limits are 40 with no increase in sight. Please fix this as well! Offline play without updates!

In relation to your post however, the circle scratch around the disc could be possible laser burn or disc tray scratch.

Disc having problems

Could you please describe the scratches you are getting on the disc. Are these light scratches or a large deep scratch which circles the entire disc?

If it is the latter, my guess is that you are currently experiencing problems with your disc drive and you need to contact Xbox Support to have your console repaired. Be warned, if this is the case and you do nothing, then this could also happen to any
disc you add into your console so you need to contact them as soon as possible.

Also, this is why I always buy digital now. Yeah, I lose trade value now but I never worry about not being able to boot up a game. I feel your pain.

There is some few reasons why this is happening, 1) Your Xbox Drive is Broken OR 2) You need to replace or some how fix the scratches.

There are some products out there what can help remove scratches from discs.

If you live in the U.K I only know one place which can fix scratched discs which is Game.

Stuff happens. Is it inconvenient your disc drive is doing this? Sure. But to expect MS to replace ALL of your scratched games when common sense should have told you not to put any other discs in the drive when it happened the first time is just
ridiculous. YOU made the decision to put another disc in after the first disc got scratched, that is called USER ERROR and when that happens the USER accepts any and all responsibility for their actions.

Now, the first disc that got scratched I could understand you wanting to have that replaced, but the other ones are on you. Either way you would need to contact support and see what they are willing to do, if anything.

Before you do anything else about the scratched discs you should check with your local video rental stores and see if they fix scratched discs. If they do it would be an alternative to try. Most shops here in NY will do that for around $3USD/disc.

This only happens with a certain disc ? If so, the disc may be scratched or dirt. if this happens with all the discs you have, then you may need to get your xbox fixed. For that, call Xbox support.
