Should MS make keyboards for the X1 they could make a system where It try's to much player with keyboards with each other. They could charge 15-20 for a keyboard. And the people that think it makes it unfair, Does having the $150 or more headset give you
a unfair lead or any custom controller. What do you guys thing yay or nan.

:)

Keyboard and Mouse on xBox One

Hi,

I think xBox One could be a great console if MS will introduce support to USB keyboard and mouse.

MS know ALL Keyboard style due to Windows experience, so please allow users to use keyboard and mouse to play games like Call of duty, Battlefield, and so on.

We can use some adapter, lice
Xim 4, but I really appreciate if MS will introduce native support for Keyboard and Mouse in games.

There are lots of games that works perfectly on PC, so the input is already know by software houses (es. CoD..).

OK don't laugh, is there anyway to use a keyboard and mouse

Keyboard = Yes (I have the Microsoft All in One-Media Keyboard (wireless) But chat pad doesn't)

Mouse = No MS keyboards :( (See Microsoft All in One-Media Keyboard (wireless) in Yes Answer)

I do wish Xbox would update the One for the MS Media Keyboard - That would be Awesome
Should MS make keyboards for the X1
MS makes a line of gaming keyboards already.
Probably.
I guess if you like
wires. There are no legitimate custom wireless controllers for the 360.

MS hasn't precluded the use of a keyboard and mouse, though no games support it at this time. A good couch keyboard is hard/impossible to find. Seeing as how I use a controller on my PC as well as my mobile PC of choice (Razer Edge), I'm not sure what bringing
KB/M support does other than move us backwards.

I'm not sure how adding KB/M support would move us backwards, I think most PC gamers would agree it would be a huge step forward.

Microsoft adds driver support for Logitech G series, Razer, etc and it would open all kinds of doors for developers. We could finally have a proper RTS.

I have a wired recliner setup for Steam games using a KB/M and I'd bet we'd see wireless versions of the gaming KB/M if the consoles started supporting them.
I'm not sure how adding KB/M support would move us backwards,
If I want a kb/m to game, I have a solution for that.

I would prefer an MMO experience that does not have me typing messages to people. Give me some sort of intelligent party chat and an in-game UI that allows me to conduct trades without a mouse. Something like the UI in the Dead Space series would be nifty.
It would be a step back to what PCs already have.
Except that's a "setup". Consoles are designed to be used in living room environments. I would rather see a UI/UX designed around that than just wholesale porting of the kb/m to the living room.

It's enough of a roadblock that Valve bothered to expend considerable effort on a new controller for the Steam Box.

Anytime a console can get a step closer to a PC it's a step forward.

My gaming PC is in my living room just a few feet from my TV and consoles so I'll admit I have a rather unique situation.

I'd love a MMO that didn't require me to type messages or use third party voice and the console would be perfect to solve that problem. The biggest gain I see with KB/M is that it opens up genres that can't be played with a controller without "dumbing" them
down considerably.
Anytime a console can get a step closer to a PC it's a step forward.
There's a lot PCs can learn from consoles, especially on the control front.

I have three Razer laptops and Razer's tablet, the Edge. The tablet gets the most gaming use because it sits in a controller. Laptops and gaming PCs require space for kb/m. They're not living room friendly. They're not travel friendly.
Can't be played
yet, I would say. I would rather the control onus be placed on the devs. MS has indicated that their new Xbox One controller protocol allows for modular controller designs. I would like to see something like the Steam Box controller end up
on the Xbox One.

If the trackpads on the Steam Box controller work as well as they claim it looks to be a great controller. The limiting factor of a controller will always be the number of buttons. I'm sitting here typing on Logitech G510 with a G600 mouse and no controller
can come close to the options I have but them again only two genres ( MMO and RTS) would really need that many hotkeys.
