If you’re stuck on the Flight Simulator 2020 checking for updates loading screen, these are the fixes that players have reported:

• Restart the game
• Run as administrator
  • To do this, type ‘Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020’ in the Windows search bar, right-click, then run as administrator
• Download latest Windows updates
• Download latest Nvidia driver updates
• Disable Windows firewall (I finally get off that screen when I performed this step).

Thank you. Im totally frustrated. I didn’t know I had purchased a digital copy of ms flight simulator. There was no mention in the Amazon product description. I don’t want to use Xbox app or have to pay subscription fee to use the flight simulator. This was not described in amazons product explanation. Am I stuck with this?

Cloud gaming is currently only for console games. Flight Simulator is currently not available on console, so won't be on cloud either.

How to Update Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020?

Here’s how to download the latest MSFS 2020 update 1.19.8.0:

1. Go to Microsoft Store.
   
2. Type “Xbox” in the search bar.
   
3. Download the official Xbox App.
