    MS Flight Simulator Keyboard in game does not work


    I have just purchased and installed MS Flight Simulator. The keyboard functions do not work in-game at all, yet work perfectly well outside of the game. Mouse and Joystick all work. I have checked the latest drivers for the keyboard and they are up to
    date. I have checked for updates to MS Flight Sim and it is all up to date. The game is impossible to play without the keyboard as I don't want to have to bind all the functions to the joystick. The keyboard works in the sim where you need to type to search
    but not when you try and fly the plane. I notice that many other people have the same problem and some have solved by disabling an overlay NZXT. I don't have that software so it must be another issue.

    Hi so does it mean if we purchase the actual MS Flight Simulator game code and download the game, the Hotas will work? We are considering buying the game for our son if it works that way due to same issue as he can’t use the Hotas when playing on cloud.

    Mouse and Keyboard suck for simulation; you need an actual flight stick.

    Also, Gaijin did mouse and keyboard controls perfectly for Arcade Mode.

    Microsoft Surface Pro 3 QL2-00015, 12-inch, Intel Core i5-4300U, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD with Keyboard (Renewed)

    Does this have a chance to running Flight Simulator successfully?

    here

    To play Flight Simulator 2020 you don't actually need any piloting skills. If you set the skill level to easy you don't need to concern yourself with the more complex parts of the simulation.

    If you want simple controls, buy an Xbox One controller. The game fully supports these controllers. Some elements may still need the keyboard, but for a rookie, the controller is the best way to start.

    There are also loads of video guides on YouTube.
