    So far, this has been a massive pain to deal with.

    I bought MS Flight Simulator (base edition) on Steam the day it was launched. I'm close to 400 hours into it so far and loving it.

    Last night, I decided I was going to bite the bullet and upgrade to the Premium Deluxe edition. I went into the marketplace in game, selected the bundle, and hit "Buy and Download".

    It switched me over to my Steam Wallet the funds were successfully transferred from PayPal to Steam, and was brought back in game to compelete my purchase, just like the 3 previous purchases I made from the in-game Marketplace.

    Only this time, I was greeted by an error message saying "Upgrade Purchase Failed".

    I tried restarting the game, restarting Steam, etc, no dice.

    So I tried getting a refund through Steam. They told me that the "MS Flight Sim Credits" I had purchased had already been consumed in the marketplace so my refund was denied.

    I tried calling MS directly, but I get bounced around a voice mail system for 20 minutes to finally have them bounce me to a web site for support, which let me here.

    Any idea what I can do / who I can talk to in order to get this resolved? I'd hate to say I got ripped off by Microsoft, but it's looking like that might end up being the case.

    How can I upgrade from Deluxe to Premium Deluxe in MSFS 2020?

    I agree that charging loyal customers extra for an upgrade after they purchased is pretty garbage of Microsoft.

    I've been flying MS flight sim since VERSION 2.0. Two Point Oh!

    I bought the deluxe when first purchasing msfs, only to find out that instead of charging 30 (119 minus 89) dollars for the difference between the deluxe and premium deluxe, in the marketplace they charge 89 for the premium deluxe upgrade, regardless of what upgrade one has already purchased. So if I want premium deluxe now, ill spend a total of 178 instead of 119. Kind of sham tactics.

    I can and will simply wait until MS decides to change this sham before I purchase any more MS products. Thanks.

    No other editions of MS Flight Sim. has been released on the Xbox One series. Currently MS Flight Sim. 2020 is announced for Xbox One, but no release date has been announced yet!
