First press windows + R keys and type 'winver' your windows 10 version should be 21H1, if it is not, go update it please.

After that, on the windows search bar, type 'cmd' right click it and then run as admin. Type the following commands one by one please:

ipconfig/flushdns

ipconfig/release

ipconfig/renew

ipconfig/registerdns

I was able to get the troublesome update to load after many tries. Now, I can launch the game. I have the Premium Edition by the way. However, when I go to actually fly, the game crashes to the desktop every time. It doesnt matter whether I try to launch from a place on the map or choose one of the adventures, it crashes every time.

The game worked flawlessly until I faced that mandatory update. My system is a recent purchase built specifically for gaming and I play other games on it with no issues including some high-demand-memory games.

I've now deleted the FS game and reinstalled it four times and I get the same result. I also went through steam and ran the diagnostic tool for corrupted files but it indicates no corruption in the game.

Recommendations?

• Are you facing this issue only Flight Simulator or all of the other games?
  
• May I know the troubleshooting steps performed by you so far?
  
• Which version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type: winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit Enter.
  

Meanwhile, let us try a couple of troubleshooting steps and see if that helps:

Clear cache and data: Head over to the Task Manager and close the higher CPU/Memory consuming tasks one by one from the ‘Processes’ section.

Update your Windows 10: Check your PC/ Windows 10 latest updates.

Restart your device and the network hardware: Preform a hard reset to both of your PC and your router then try to update the game again.

Hi There.

No other editions of MS Flight Sim. has been released on the Xbox One series. Currently MS Flight Sim. 2020 is announced for Xbox One, but no release date has been announced yet!

I have the same problem. The Sept update for MS Flight Sim 2020 says to update in the game, but the Microsoft store doesn't display any update. I have tried most Store updates and resets listed in the various help sections?

Any ideas?
