    I know, I have read all the books MS buy Gears of War franchise, Black Tusk to develop! :)

    What I meant was, those tools of destruction would come across extreme and unnecessary against the UIR/humans. Kinda sadistic if you get my drift lol.

    Yea I know, I would like to see a Pendulum Wars title, maybe the whole Aspho Fields raid to capture the hammer plans, personally I hated the way that as the Gears games progressed more and more stuff was added that wasn't there in the original (which was
    the best one by far) more outlandish locusts, weapons etc, and don't get me started on Anvils Gate in Gears 3 they turned an almighty fortress into a tin shed!

    Agreed, Anvil gates seemed underwhelming compared to what it was described in the books. I enjoyed 3 and continue to play it every now and then.

    I still play em all every now and again. I played em all back to back co-op with a mate and finished the last one at about 2:00am the morning of the One launch as i wanted them all lined up on my gamercard.! Got all the comics, graphic novels and books,
    Gears Nerd! Did you read The Slab I thought the way the end tied in with the beginning of the first game and explained what Marcus was doing in that cell was pretty cool.

    Good news to me. It was clear Epic had to interest in continuing it, so I'm glad we will have a new one now on X1. Not to mention they also got Rid Ferguson signed on to work on it at MS Studios...that's almost even bigger news IMO.

    Microsoft have bought the entire franchise, including the old games. I can see a next gen remake of the original Gears game in the not to distant future, much like what happened when Halo moved to 343 Industries...Something to get the new team's juices flowing,
    so to speak.
