That "game" was apparently a concept piece.

"The thing we showed at E3 last year, it was something that was done in Unreal and more of a concept piece," Spencer said, calling it "an asset" created by the team to get their creative juices flowing, not necessarily an in-development game.

Got bored of gears after the second...

 

Gears of War on Xbox One 720p at 30fps.

 

Meh , if the next instalment is anything like the abomination that was Judgement they can poke it where the sun don't shine.

 

Good news to me. It was clear Epic had to interest in continuing it, so I'm glad we will have a new one now on X1. Not to mention they also got Rid Ferguson signed on to work on it at MS Studios...that's almost even bigger news IMO.

Perhaps that explains why the boardgame has never been expanded.

That's a bit annoying. I like Gears but I hope Microsoft have some new IP planned. I'm not going to buy an Xbox One if it's going to be another 7 years of just Halo, Gears, Forza and Fable.

 

Gears, Forza, Halo, Fable, MS has no vision. Its a new console so how about new IPs instead of the same copy and paste titles.

 

Great news I loved the Gear games.......Not a fan of the MP of judgement though - gears vs gears - No thanks..........I would like to see another another approach to this game though - a RTS game - huge scope for huge wars - something similar to the Halo
wars game......................................................

 

Good to see the franchise isn't dead, after that sorry excuse of a game Judgement. I was saying to my brother that the new game could be set during the Pendulum War,but I don't think it wouldn't be the same as the original (chainsaws, executions etc.)
