MP Reveal Thoughts

Overall feeling was that it's CoD, and CoD will be very similar year in and year out which in some ways is good and some ways bad.

The Good:

Pick 13 system - Same as pick 10 but now includes Scorestreaks into the mix

Finally we learned how to swim

Return of CTF and Hardpoint

Uplink - This new mode looks like it has potential, could be something great that promotes teamwork and communication.

Day Zero Preorder Bonus - While they could just release the game on the 3rd because of this, it's a pretty neat preorder bonus

E-Sports Support - I'm sure a lot of people on here couldn't care less about it, but I enjoy watching and playing competitively so hearing this makes me think it can be a good game like BO2 was.

Return of Scorestreaks - At this point CoD needs to be Scorestreaks, no more all about kills. Instead reward people for playing game modes the way they're intended to be played. On Ghosts, just about every game mode was TDM since so many people cared about
kills to get good streaks.

The Bad:

Exo-Suit - Shooting at someone and them having the ability to jump up and over you seems like it could be very annoying.

Exo-Suit Abilities - There's an ability much like Oracle from Ghosts which I don't like. Seeing people through walls is a pet peeve of mine. There's also an ability that's like a portable riot shield which if it's recharge speed is slow then I'm ok with
it but who knows.

Co-Op Scorestreaks - This could go either way, could be good or could be bad. If teammates who didn't earn the streak can do more than mark targets like shown in the reveal and instead help kill then this could be insanely OP. But I do like the idea of more
teamwork and even being able to show people what some of the high scorestreaks do from a hands on experience.

What were your thoughts? And don't say this game is a TF rip-off. Only similarity is the Exo-Suit/Jetpack.

AW MP Reveal Thoughts

Not CoD-like enough for me, a definite pass unless I can find it at a cheap price in a bargain bin one day. I already dislike Ghosts because of the big-ish changes and this game seems to take the changes to the max you can while still having the title Call
of Duty...

 

Uplink is a rip off of Odd Ball from Halo. I like the fact they have made the game play quicker, the rest I remain open minded until I get hands on!

The Day Zero stuff is nice but says to me they are struggling for pre-orders.

 

I watched 3-4 youtubers playing the Multiplayer and I am almost thinking I may pass on this COD. The jumping part I agree seems like it will be very irritating. The weapons seemed typical of COD. The people who were playing did not get to comment on anything
but it almost looked like it has a Titanfall feel to it without the big power suits of course. I am hoping they do a Beta that Ic an at least try it out before I purchase.

 

I think this CoD has jumped the shark. It looks like its trying to take the best parts of Halo, older CoDs and yes TF and mash em all up. Which is all well and good. I'm all for quality improvements based on imitating decent games.

But you know what I didn't hear about? Dedicated servers. Lag Comp. Matchmaking. Spawn generators.

I'll be sticking to my guns for once and passing on this for at least a couple of weeks after launch. I can't get caught up in the rageful stroke fest that getting spawn ganked and round-the-corner deaths that plague these games anymore, just too old for
it.

 

this is not cod as we know it, its halo in disguise and a very bad disguise, cod was all about modern warfare..the guns look awful in this game and did i see quick scoping in that video???? i want ak-47's and M16's and mp5's, not futuristic crap..we have
halo for the kids...i could not believe it when i saw that video and this is the first cod ever i wont be buying on launch date or any other date for that matter, what set cod apart from other games is we knew what we were getting, all they had to do was give
us the same guns without the silly killstreaks and put some imagination into decent maps, call of duty is finished to me..for this year at least, bad bad move infinity ward, end of an era.

 

1. I hate booster packs/halo hopping and hated TF. But will say that the movement and maps of Cod AW look fun but not my cup of tea yet. The game looks like blops2 with booster packs. Love change but the whole booster packs exosuite thing is not appealing
to an of gamer like me.

2. After looking at every piece of early gameplay from Tmartn to Ali a and in between, all I can say is wow sledgehammer did a great job. The ability to dash and move in every direction is pretty awesome. Hit your booster and jump behind someone as fluid
as they did in the video is looking yummy and frustratingly difficult to pull off smoothly. I am looking forward to the challenge.

 

the biggest problem are the guns, what were infinity ward thinking, they are ripping off other games

 

I'm looking forward to it. Whether it turns out good or bad, i'll be there from the beginning. I won't dis a game until i've tried it.

^This makes me sick. I look forward to CoD for months in advance. To hear about the halo hopping was bad enough...but the exo suit abilities? That is just bad design. The portable radar/riot shield ruined Search in Ghosts. Now they made it so that it
is available to guys running around with real guns? I hope that isn't right.

 

CoD will be fun, as it has always been......................Playing with full parties and pubstomping. Tianfall is great fun playing alone. I am about Generation 9 and I have not played one game in a party yet. It gets frustrating when people back out and
quit, but that problem is always worse in CoD. So whos up for a forum pubstomp team? Shoot me some FR. BTW, hopefully this game has Dedis.

 

My thoughts are

1) Not that much different from the past 2 cods.

2) Adding scorestreaks just goes back to mw3 where I couldn't even stand playing that pile.

3) Making some modes return and taking some away not that much different from past few cods.

4) Still not going back to basics like cod 4 or waw. Looks like the game is just going to be like where mw3 left off.

5) I'm getting Farcry 4 and Destiny dlc so this game is a no for me.

Its sad that we are now comparing cods to titanfall. If Respawn made another game similar to modern warfare, cod will die.
