MP confirmed for Dragon Age: Inquisition

I'll buy this game, but I have 0 interest in multiplayer for this type of game.

I certainly hope that this game has that " Fill in the blank Comic thing " like in the Mass Effect Trilogy because unless we can transfer our data / choices to the Xbox One, I don't want to get stuck with on pre-determined set of decisions.

As long as the story is good I don't care what they add mp wise.

 

I like the sound of that, a lot, should be great fun!

 

@Lei Fang I'm aware of how ME3 was handled, I however make no assumptions as to how they will execute this. The way I see it, different game should mean different mechanics, after all Dragon Age is not a TPS. So if it does turn out to be the same, and a
"design decision" on their part, they will have only cemented my point and made me less likely to purchase their product any other way than used in the foreseeable future.

 

@Lei Fang: Dragon Age: Inquisition is going to have The Keep to bring your world state across.

The beta is online at Improve Your Experience • Dragon Age Keep, to those lucky enough to have been accepted.

Essentially it's a checklist of things you've done in the previous two games.

 

Bioware is owned by EA, so of course it is going to be using their servers.

Sounds to be honest that they've got the Origins system in mind for single player and that of Dragon Age II for the multiplayer.

Well, another single player game infected by MP. While it may be cool, more and more games are steering away from straight SP.

I don't think the inclusion is that bad but I don't care at this point. Bioware has burned to many bridges for me. Fool me once...

 

MP was made by a separate team (The ME3 MP team and some other devs) and started being produced 2 years ago. EA has deep pockets so I doubt limited resources were ever in question so please stop with the taking away from SP stuff folks. Not to mention that
it helped make the SPs combat better because they tested the stuff out in MP and MP better because they brought over ideas from SP. It is entirely possibly that both can coexist and make the other better for it.

Burst it is entirely possible for the multiplayer to take away from single player and that is because of the Xbox 360 DVD format.

Look at Mass Effect 3 for a moment. The multiplayer was on both discs, so lets be charitable and say that it took up 500mb across both.

That's 500mb that could have been used for an extra mission and more dialogue for the single player. Lets also not forget that until the release of the Extended Cut DLC, Multiplayer (or iPhone apps) was a requirement to unlock all ending content (however
brief that scene had been.)
