Moving XBox Live account info

I didn't realize when I set up my son's xbox account years ago that I needed to create him his own separate child account under my account. He spends money without asking. The only way I can change that is if he is on a child's account if I've read correctly.
I have set him up a child's account, but all of his gaming info is under my name, not his. How can I move all of his XBox live gaming info to his child account?

Thanks for updating us with your reply. Currently, you can't move your services from one Microsoft account to another, as the Ambassdors have stated. But you do have a few options going forward.

Essentially, if you'd like your child to continue using the account in your name (the adult account) to preserve their progress, it would be a good idea to go ahead and

cancel out the current subscription for Xbox Live Gold (or other service) if it is tied to your credit/debit card. This will allow you to

remove the credit card from the account. If your subscription isn't due to end soon, then I would suggest turning off the automatic renewal function instead as this will also allow you to remove the associated card.

What I would suggest instead, is to establish the subscription using a pre-paid card (like Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, etc) and, if you wish to allow them to make any purchases, they may use Microsoft account credit (from the purchase
of Xbox Live currency gift cards) added to the account to allow them to use and budget their own spending. This will negate the need for any of your credit or debit cards to exist on the account; however, if you do want them to use the child account, then
this is also a good idea as well. When making purchases, it is also wise to take any sales tax (if applicable) into consideration.

I set a passkey on my account. My son, cannot make purchases without knowing the passkey.

So my only options are I either remove his Xbox live subscription, or make him start over completely?
