    Moving Xbox Game Pass games to a different PC


    Sorry for my bad English, It is not my main language A few days ago I downloaded some games on Xbox Game Pass on my laptop at a friends house. The reason why I did that is, because my stationary computer is at home and at home I don't have access to a fast
    internett(only 20Mbps download), while my friend had 100Mbps. When I came home I thought I could put the games on my external HDD and copy them over to my computer, but it looks like I can't.

    Will Microsoft ever implement this feature the way others have, for example Steam?

    Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for clarity on the download and install process of games off of Xbox Game Pass PC.

    Though (as posted by
    ngocphi    ) that currently is not possible at the moment, I suggest posting the idea to our

    Xbox Ideas hub     to be potentially implemented in a future update.

    In the mean time, I agree that it might be best for you to download these games somewhere with a reliable internet signal.

    Sadly it doesn't allow it even then, it says there are apps from a different computer and if I want to delete them. Why does Microsoft have to make everything so
    [Mod removed- profanity] hard to do. This is why Windows 7 is one of the best OS, and Windows 10 isn't.

    With the latest Xbox app update you can install the games to a different drive. With that, I haven't tested that, but you might be able to then use that on another computer? You might need to initialize the install in the app for it to recognize that
    it's already on that drive? That's untested on my end, but I think worth a shot for troubleshooting.

    In Steam you can backup a game on an external HDD and then install it on a different computer, which is something Microsoft should implement in the Xbox(beta) application. Or something similar like that. You can also move Origin games to a HDD and then
    just put it on a different computer and verify the files. You can also do that with games from the Epic Games Launcher.
