Moving Xbox account/gammertag

Soooo I have two emails I am using. they both have a xbox gamer tag and account linked to them. The main email and Microsoft account I use is with a gamer tag (Jack) (I made it for my bro). But the main gamer tag (tman) is associated
with the email I bareley use. So I want to delete the JACK xbox gamer tag and put the Tman gammertag and all my games I have played to my email I use a whole lot more. Can yall help? Does that make sense?

ngocphi is correct here. If it's your friend's account, then you will want to work with him to have him change his gamertag and let you know when he does so that you can change yours right after. No one here on the forums, or through phone or chat, are able
to give someone another gamertag from someone else's account. I'm sorry to see any confusion surrounding this.

If the gamertag was not released as part of
our release last year, then it is unavailable; unless, of course, your friend is able to change it.

you are going to have to wait till whenever it's free

Gamer tags are NOT an on demand service

If you want it quicker it's probably faster for your friend to change his name and then you change your name

I'm just going to call corporate, my friend was able to do this, if you're going to do it for one person you have to do it for everyone

Hi there,

If you want to move the tman tag (Tag A) to use the email (Email B) that Jack (Tag B) has, the easier thing to do is to tie the Jack (Tag B) account to a new (Email C) Microsoft account.

Then once the email (Email B) that Jack (Tag B) is associated with is freed up (can take up to 48 hours for everything to sync up), you can use it (Email B) on your tman (Tag A) account. More info can be found

If you want to close the Jack account completely, it takes about 60 days for that. More info can be found
