  1. Moving XBL Tag to a new MS account.

Is it possible to move an XBL tag to a new MS account on an xbox one. I have looked extensively online and spoken with Microsofts chat that explained to me that I would need to move my tag back to my xbox 360 as well as setup a tag on my 360 with the new
MS account for 30 days and then use the 360 to change MS accounts (xbox 360 use to have a method of doing this) This process is ridiculous there has to be another way.

    :)

Changing a license on a Games for Windows Live game from one GT to another?

    Hi there,

Due to Win8 and moving from Europe to the US I was forced to ditch my XBL account I've had since the original XBL Beta for a new account. Unfortunately since my old XBL account is linked to an account I don't use and Dark Souls on PC is linked to that I
was wondering if MS could transfer the license to my new account after confirmation of details, or if I'll run into the same old problems as before.

Cheers for any help that can be provided!

  3. Best way to handle gamertags/accounts for Xbox One

    Hi there Team Physics,

I'm going to try my best to answer your question. Let's start with..."I would like to use a new gamertag for myself with my existing microsoft account if possible."

    -

Each gamertag can only be associated with one MS account.

If you want to use your current MS account with your new tag, the old tag will need be associated with a new MS account. -

Once the old tag is associated to a new MS account, you can use your MS account on your new tag.

    support.xbox.com/.../switch-gamertag-to-different-microsoft-account.

    -

Any achievements earned/purchased made under the original tag will remain tied/licensed to the original tag.

    -

    I hope this helps.

    Risk of ban ?

When a profile is permanently banned from XBL everything associated with that account is considered forfeit as per the XBL Terms of Service inlcuding; gamer score, game saves, ms points, Live time and download
content. All of that is gone forever. Nothing is transferable and nothing is refundable.

When a console is permanently banned from XBL the console is the only thing that is prevented from connecting to XBL. The account(s) on the console will be able to connect to XBL on a new console so long as they
are not temporarily suspended or permanently banned themselves. You simply just need to recover profile on the new console, re-download the content and perform a license migration. The game saves can be moved over via a MS official tranfer cable or a USB flash
    drive.

Is there anyway to limit playing time when child is playing using my account

    Thanks for the quick reply.

He actually has a child account, but his 'gamer tag' is associated with my account. From what I have researched, you cannot move a gamer tag to a child account on an Xbox One. If that is not correct, any references to how to do it would be greatly appreciated.
If it matters, and I know it does for Xbox 360, I have an Office 365 subscription on my MS account. On a 360, that prevents moving gamer tags.

    Unable to remove payment method

I successfully moved the payment method for XBL gold to the new method and the original method is currently not being used for anything.

I'll give MS a call. It's got to be the pre order.

    Thanks
