    Moving to UK or France


    Hello,

    We are moving to UK or France for 3-4 years for work. How much functionality can I expect from my xbox Live account?

    I am planning on buying a new xBox when we get there, to avoid any DVD region or electrical receptacle adapter issues but I would like to keep my xBox live account.

    Will I be able to play online with my brother who lives in USA? Will I be able to Skype with him and others?

    Do I need to notify Microsoft that I am moving to avoid any sort of ban or problems with my account, when I suddenly log in from London?

    Can not connect UK Xbox one in France

    Any support welcome since i can't reconnect after moving from UK to France, it detect well Wi-Fi but even restarting with France as a location does not enter into the system . Thanks

    and you don't talk for uk or france, so okay but no thanks.

    Hey there Cpl DevilDog94!

    Your Xbox Live compatibility should be remain the same Moving to UK or France :) You'll need to change the region on your Xbox One to make purchases but other than that you shouldn't need to worry about being able play with your brother Moving to UK or France :)

    Thank you. One follow up question. Does it make sense to buy the xBox One X now (here in the US) and take it with me or should I buy one in France and bring it back to the US in three years? I assume the power adapter brick is the only part that needs
    to be changed in order for it to work in either country? If I buy one in France, will it play DVD's in the USA when we return in 3 years?

    Hi

    I think the Xbox One X internal power supply is multi voltage so should work without issue however I would advise you to purchase the console in France/UK as this would be better from a general support point of view. Please not purchasing
    the console in Europe will probably tie you to only being able Region 2 and Unlocked DVDs plus Region B and Region free Blu Rays
