Moving the adult player name to my child

You can not make an adult account into a child account, first off. If your email address is a Microsoft one (outlook.com, hotmail.com, live.com) you will delete your whole account, so be unable to have access to any other Microsoft products you use. If
it isn't a Microsoft email then you can set that as your childs email address. Transfering gamertags can be tricky as you would have to remove it (change gamertag on your account) and then hope that it is freed up to be added to the other account.

Being the organizer of a Microsoft family doesn't change the child status of the account, the family organizer needs to be an adult account the child account must be added as a child account thst will allow the adult account to manage this settings

You cannot move from an adult account back down to a child account.

I have exactly the same issue. Created the adult account, and the child account underneath, but the packs including the vbucks etc are on the adult account. The X-Box is for the child, so why would the adult want the packs?

There must be a way to disable the claim and move it to a different account??

It sounds like that account is set up as an adult account. Adult accounts cannot changed to a child account. Your only option is to create a new child account for your son. he will lose progress, as he will have to start his games again on his new
account.

My account which his gamertag is set up on is an adult account. Surely there must be a way of moving Gamertags between accounts?!? I've set up a child account for him but just need to move his gamertag.

Creating a new gamertag or losing the progress on his current one is really not an option.....
