Moving Old Gamertag (w/ Gamerscore etc.)

Hi,

I made the mistake of letting the MS Store create a new gamertag for me on my current email account. This account is linked to everything microsoft related.

The issue is that I have an old gamertag (the email I'm posting with now), that I'd like to merge / move (whatever works..) to this new email, but as there is already an account there I'm unable to do so. "This email is part of a reserved domain. Please enter a different email address"

I understand the need to control this tightly to prevent hackers etc. merging stuff all the time, but do I have any options here?

Really do not want to lose all my achievements and would love it to be the default gamertag on my desktop.

nothing can be transferred or moved, you would need to sign into the pc with the old gamertag email to use it.

I'm not sure about using an adapter, but do you know if your son used Xbox Live (basically connected to the internet) in Canada and had an email associated with his gamertag? If he did then you he could still recover his gamertag following these steps:

support.xbox.com/.../profile-move-delete

He won't get his game saves back, but he will have his old account with Gamerscore, games history, download history etc.

I think its the "old characters" from the W@W zombie maps like Richtofen, Dempsey, Nikoli, etc...

be sure to check what Gamertag is shown at xbox.com

if that shows the correct gamertag and gamerscore etc then it's worth it to try to remove your profile and redownload it
