    Hey folks! I'm going to sound terribly cheap here, but I was wondering if it was possible to transfer the music on my Xbox 360's HDD, you know where you could rip music from a CD and listen to it on the media player, to the external HDD I'm using on my Xbox
    One by plugging it into the 360 and copying it over? I don't really have the cash to spend on the transfer cable, especially since I only plan on having to do this the one time. But I don't want to accidentally brick my external HDD or something either. I
    tried talking to a lady on the support chat, but I don't think she quote understood what I was wanting to do. She was incredibly nice and patient with me though!

    Its only Pandora now and it's not a worldwide app and moving music to one drive is actually very annoying, there should be an app were you can stream music from your phone to xbox

    Gamertag, moving from 360 to One?

    You don't start with a clean slate.

    You just download the same profile you had on the 360 with all the achievements/Gamerscore still there.

    If you want to start on the xbox one with your Gamerscore at 0 then you'd need to start a new account.

    Hello,

    Sorry there is no way to do that. It's a sort of 1 way street, you can take music from a USB Flash Drive and put it on your XBOX 360 but you won't be able to take music that's already on your XBOX 360 and then move it to your PC.

    You can also try to stream music from your PC to your XBOX 360 using Windows Media Center but it won't send any files from your XBOX 360 to your PC.

    Not directly. Files cannot be moved from untrusted storage to trusted storage in the 360 ecosystem.

    You could burn them to a CD as regular CD music, then re-rip them on the 360.

    Can someone help transfer my music from my computer to an xbox using a USB?

    Assuming the audio is in MP3 format, a FAT32 or HFS+ formatted USB drive is readable on the 360. You would be able to play the music back from the USB drive, though you would not be able to move it to the 360's HDD.

    Content may not be copied to the 360's trusted storage devices. The only exceptions I'm aware of are pictures for use as backgrounds. No music and no pictures can be moved to trusted storage from untrusted sources.
