Moving Gold account and purchased apps/games to new live account

Hello all,

I currently own an xbox 360 and an xbox one. Both consoles are running on an xbox live gold account that was created on an old hotmail account of mine.

It is my desire to completely delete this hotmail account and shift all accounts and games on a live.com account that I have not created yet.

Is this possibile? The Gold account will expire in 9 days, so worse case scenario, I could delete the account and instead of renewing it, I could just subscribe for a new one. But I dont want to lose 150$ of games that I had downloaded on the consoles.

Xbox Live Confusion?

Xbox Live is free.

You can make a Gold account, or a Silver account.

The Gold account gives you access to access to play online, along with free monthly games and weekly deals. This has a fee.

The Silver account gives you access to Xbox Live and apps, but you just can't play online or get the free games. This is free.

Netflix and Amazon Prime, one account 2 xbox. Help

You’ve not needed a Gold account to use those apps since 2014. But you do need a Xbox Live free (used to be called Silver) account. So just create a new free one for it. MS will give you a free Outlook one and its not like you need to use it afterwards. Though it is always handy to have throw away accounts.

Because the games are tied to that account you'll want to keep that account and just change the email address associated with it. The following support page should assist you in the process.

I deleted the old account, created a new one and lost nothing in the process. Excellent!

Unfortunately, you can't move purchases or subscriptions like Live or Game Pass to another account

Depending on when you purchased Halo and the Gold membership, you might ask the official support for a refund, so you can purchase the game and subscription again on a different account.

But moving isn't possible currently.

Hi there,

Currently you can't move any game saves, achievement progress, or digitally purchased content from one account to another. But you can still create a new account for your son. If the original account is an xbox live gold account your sons new account should
still be able to access most of the previously purchased content associated with the other account via the Xbox live gold sharing feature.

All you will need to do is add one of the two Xbox profiles you already have onto the new console and you should be able to continue playing. When loading the profile onto your new console make sure that you load the profile that has the Xbox Live Gold subscription
onto the console and then leave the profile on the first console with this console also being set as the home Xbox and you shoul dnot need to purchase a second Xbox Live Gold subscription.

I would download your original account to the new Xbox and set that Xbox as your home console (via Settings app). That way all accounts can play the downloaded games purchased by the original account, and Xbox LIVE gold shares to
all accounts (No need to buy multiple Xbox LIVE subscriptions or games). Create a new account and put it on the new Xbox. Have one kid only sign in/play on the new account on the new Xbox. And have the other kid sign in and play on the original account
on the original Xbox. When you purchase games, buy them on the original account. Since the original account's home console is set to the new Xbox, all accounts can play that purchased game. That way you only have to buy 1 game for both consoles, you don't
have to buy 2 every time.
