Moving gamertag to new microsoft account: what details transfer?

Basically all that will change is the email he uses to sign into Live. The birthdate Live uses is the date you entered when you created the account, not what is listed on the email. There is no way to change the age of an account once it has been created.

You'll first need to move the new Xbox profile onto another email address (Microsoft Account or MSA) in order to free up the MSA. This will allow you to move the old Xbox profile onto your new MSA.

unfortunately it is not possible to delete that account that was created, but to be able to use that new Microsoft Account (email) you will need to download that profile to the console and wait 30 days after that you should be able to move that new gamertag
to a different (new) account so you'll be able to use this for your gamertag.

You can also create a new Microsoft Account to move your gamertag to it instead of the one holding the new gamertag.

You cant technically delete the gamertag itself, but you can disassociate it from yourself completely. What you will need to do is create a new (temporary) Microsoft Account and move the unwanted gamertag over to it. You will then be able to move your desired
gamertag over to your 'desired' Microsoft Account. Please see

Please note: You will have a 30 day waiting period before you can move your gamertag to a new Microsoft Account if you fall into any of the below scenario's.

• Your profile is less then 30 days old.
• You have downloaded your profile from Xbox LIVE within the last 30 days.
• You have already moved the profile to a different Microsoft Account within the past 30 days.
  

In each instance, you would need to wait for the full 30 days to pass before being able to complete the transfer successfully. If you try to move the gamertag before the 30 days are over, you will see the following message "Sorry, we can't change your
Microsoft account right now".

You cannot transfer between DLC between accounts, however you can create a new Microsoft Account with your new preferred email and then move your gamertag over to that new Microsoft Account on your console by going to Settings>Account>Account Security>Change
Microsoft Account. This way your gamer profile will be intact, and you will be signing in with your actual preferred email. Keep in mind though that if your new Microsoft Account is a 3rd party email (a non-Microsoft email server), then there might be a waiting
period to be able to associate a new gamertag to it (30 days usually). If your other email address is already a Microsoft Account, then just move that gamertag on over to it with the instructions above

****Make sure that you have the new Microsoft Account established BEFORE you initiate the gamertag switch on your console!
