    Back in the day...

I started with a gamer-tag in the XBOX1 days and also used this with the XBOX360, later I got rid of all the gaming stuff and didn't use this account for years.

Always been a Windows user and bought Windows 10 Pro, associated it with THIS account, as we get older we change the email address to fit our age. I was surprised on how integrated the gaming stuff was.

Some month's after (2 weeks ago) my girlfriend bought me the new XBOX ONE Slim and I was wondering if I was able to recover my old gamer-tag... I remembered the login details and it worked, so far so good.

I asked support to change my gamer-tag to a new email, they said it was possible, but with a XBOX... later I found out that this method only works with the XBOX360... and I was like... really? Bummer...

I had no patience to wait for Microsoft or the support guys have a solution for me, I had this gaming machine now and i wanted to use it. So I purchased some games these days.

So, my petition is. I don't care who it is going to do... Some higher ranked support guy, a database engineer, I don't care. But PLEASE, someone move my freaking gamer-tag and its purchases from the account below to this one. Someone has to be able
to do it. And if not I would like to get refund for everything I bought. So I can purchase it again on the new account. But I want a solution to this and as soon as possible.

    Thank you in advance.

    :)

So, how many of you are 10 year Xbox Live gamers?

I started with the xboxlive beta with the headset and MotoGP disk, but I currently have a new different gamer tag due to my associated Hotmail account going inactive, due to not logging into email, and thus preventing me from renewing the live account. I had to create a new account while I went through the steps of recovery for the Hotmail address. Once recovered, I simply stayed with my new gamer tag... Now associated with the old Hotmail account. :-(

    This is the old account.

Please take the gamer-tag, G-points, configuration, purchases, everything from this account and apply it to the account above.

    Thanks.

  6. Thanks, that is a good one. I'll try it... =]

I have no purchases on this account, nor anything I want to save.

If they just move the email address of this account to the old one I'd be happy.

  7. Oh god... All this new options they have are great, but nothing that solves my issue.

I was about to delete this Microsoft account (email address) and re-create it under the other account control panel (says "create new ms email") and I just remembered that i linked my MOJANG account (Minecraft) to this one and if I delete this account i
don't know what is happening to the Minecraft account and the Minecraft windows 10 edition i got for free.

Later they wonder because their databases are full of ***, if everyone is obligated to have various accounts, it really sucks and it is absolutely not efficient nor smart to have it this way. All my accounts have my real name since they were created.

Someone from the MS Staff has to have a solution to this.

Moving gamer-tag and purchases to different account.

    Hey there SmirkyBarley75.

As Daft Badger mentioned, you're welcome to change the e-mail address associated with your Gamertagm but there isn't an option to move content between multiple accounts. Purchases made on one Gamertag will remain tied to that Gamertag regardless of the which
    e-mail is connected to it.

Thanks for your understanding and if you have any other Xbox support questions, please let us know.

    Thanks for the answers,

What Daft Badger wrote really helped me. I was able to change the email address and everything is ok now. I will just buy this single purchase again for the this account then I have everything here.

    Thanks again.

    Regards
