Moving Game Pass Games from my external hard drive onto my pc

That's not possible, because the folder are encrypted and each game has an ID associated with each computer

So, even if you copy and paste the folder related to the game the Xbox app is not going to recognize the game as installed

You need to download the games directly in your PC

Do other games you own that aren't from game pass have the same problem? Do you have an external hard drive. If a game I install to my external hard drive is very laggy I will move it to my internal hard drive which usually fixes the problem.

And I just thought it might work cause if he has a external hard drive to and he moved his game to his hard drive and unplugged his and I plugged mine in and the game from my drive onto his Xbox and he updated it and then move the game to the hard drive I should have the updated game when I go to plug it into my Xbox console

I moved my games from the internal hard drive to the external hard drive to see if my games won't kick me to the dashboard I tried it yesterday with a external hard drive I had never used for my Xbox. My games were never on the external hard drive they
were in the internal hard drive. Also I downloaded trove and it kicks me to the dashboard as well.

Ugh Is there any way to "reset" the Xbox hard drive back to its factory settings? In that case, I could make room on my PC's external hard drive and then move my Xbox data onto it. And if I can reset the Xbox hard drive, I could do so and just move the
external hard drive stuff back onto the Xbox's... Thus not involving the shoddy transfer kit. Whatcha think?
