Moving game from external to ssd

Hey . So I have this issue , when I'm trying to move watch dogs legion from my external HDD to SSD, the installation stops everytime at 12.58gb (18.8%) . I'm not sure why , and what can I do , and if this is even fixable. Right now I'm working on board the ship in the middle of Atlantic ocean and reinstalling the game would not be possible for me. I was playing it before and everything was running good , but then I moved it from sad to HDD and now I can't manage to get it back . Every other game from the HDD runs smooth and i can even move them back and forth. I think I have this issue with legion and maybe one more game , but I'm not sure about the other. Anyone had this issue ? Btw i have series s

Rise of the Tomb Raider only starts with DLC installed, if console is switched offline.

If anyone is interested, we managed to find that the problem only occurs if the game is installed on an external ssd.

If the game is moved from the ssd to the internal hdd the problem does not occur. Formating the ssd and moving the game back did not fix the problem. Other games launch fine from the external ssd.

The problem seems to be linked to (external?) ssds and (Rise of the Tomb Raider?) DLCs.

Can i put ms edge on external ssd on xbox one s? and will ms edge be faster on ssd?

Hi. My name is Brilliant, an independent advisor, happy to assist you today.

Yes, you can move Microsoft Edge to an external SSD on your Xbox One S. However, it is important to note that Microsoft Edge is not a standalone application on Xbox One S, but rather a part of the Xbox operating system. Therefore, you cannot move Microsoft Edge to an external SSD on your Xbox One S directly. However, you can move the entire operating system to an external SSD using the “Move” or “Copy” feature in the Xbox settings.

Here are the steps to do so:
    1. Connect your external SSD to your Xbox One S.
    2. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
    3. Go to Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage devices.
    4. Select the storage device that you want to move or copy content from, and then select Move or copy.
    5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Please note that moving the operating system to an external SSD may improve performance and reduce load times for games and applications. However, it is important to use a high-quality SSD with fast read and write speeds for optimal performance.

I hope this helps resolve your query.

    My Series X External Storage

As of right now the Ext., SSD is showing in the storage device list. I had unplugged it from the Xbox Series X last night and just plugged it back in after reading your reply. I had read in a separate post of someone doing just that to restore it's identification with a Series X. It is supposed to be the proper 3.0 and 4.5 TB. In other support post it is the recommended version for playing games from however, this Series X about 6 months ago wouldn't allow me to play Division 2 X/S version until I moved it to the internal SSD. So I learned to move 5 (Enhanced for X/S games) to the internal SSD. Capture location is Internal with 5 games and 25 apps and 390 GB free. Install location is External with 6 games and 16 apps and 4.3 TB free. Hasn't been a system update for over a month. I wish I knew why and how apps were moved and the system lost track of the External SSD. And most of my games have been removed (not by me) from the External SSD. I own and had installed 52 games and as I mentioned above I have only 11 games between the 2 storage areas. Also the External SSD no longer emits a green illumination band, but now a yellowish.

Xbox series s/x ssd compared to 3rd party hd,S/ssd,s

Well you csn technically store games on other nvme or ssd drives externally but they gotta be moved bacj to expansion offical seagate drive or intternal since the x series games relies on the super fast nvme

But only bc titles from one and older can run from external
