Moving from U.S. to France for 3 Months and taking Xbox with me..

I want to know what are all the different things I should prepare for when switching countries for a certain amount of time. Some of my specific questions are as follows:

Do I need to purchase a new power supply fitted for the French outlets or should I just purchase an adapter and continue using my U.S. Xbox's power supply?

Do I absolutely need to change the Xbox Locale settings when I arrive? I want to be able to still buy games with my own U.S. currency from the U.S. Marketplace.

Will my Xbox be automatically geolocated when I connect it to the internet in France? Much like the last question, I still want to be able to use all of my apps and I heard Amazon Prime and Netflix are blocked from use overseas. Any recommended advice
    for dealing with that?

That's pretty much all I can think of at the moment... I hope you guys can help me out! Thanks.

    :)

  2. Xbox gets BBC, Channel 4 and channel 5 content

So Microsoft just walked in the back door and dumped practically the entire TV industry in our laps.

The manufacturer's announced almost 40 new entertainment providers for Xbox Live across the globe, including Bravo, the BBC, Syfy, Channel 4 and Channel 5.

The content's split between regions, which is bad news if, like me, you nurture a sickly fondness for Syfy's terrible breed of late night movie. Here's the full list of existing and new partners.

    Hey there Oh Yeah82.

We don't recommend using a power adapter as you may run into trouble. You may need to reach out to
Phone/Chat support in reference to receiving a power adapter suited for France. As for cross-region accounts, we recommend setting your account to your physical location to avoid running
into any trouble with purchasing and downloading games. As for app use, some content may vary depending on your region, this includes Netflix and Amazon Prime.

    Getting worse

@Steel--I am not bashing, just stating some facts. If the U.S. were occupied, like WWII France, I think we (U.S.) would had more of an involvement combat wise, just saying. I still love their food and wines. My sister was in France about a month ago. I also
know about the French underground and the resistance, but come on, you know what I mean, LOL. French Foreign Legion will fight, but most of those guys are NOT French.

Moving from France to the US

you cannot change regions once they are set and since US is an established LIVE region you cannot migrate your account to US either. your ONLY option is to create a US account (does not need to be gold, a free one will work) and then you can use the US
account to buy and download US based content as well as netflix. and you can use your french gold account to play online and as long as both accounts are on the same console you can access anything you bought and or downloaded on both accounts with the exception
of any avatar based items, good luck.
