Moving from a physical copy of a game to the digital version

Thats great i purchased the standard edition or forza horizon 4 and purchased the ultimate upgrade as separate dlc packs

i got a download code of the game when i purchased my one x i was just worried i would lose £30 worth of dlc

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. You will keep all your saved data for the game after using a different copy of it. There are some games that include the downloadable content with the disc that may not transfer over with a digital purchase. An example
of this is Assassin's Creed Odyssey. If you own the physical copy of Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Ultimate Edition and switch to the standard edition of the digital copy, you will lose access to all of the Ultimate Edition's content. If you purchased the downloadable
content on your account or redeemed codes for the dlc, you will keep the downloadable content when you switch to the digital version of the game. We hope this helps!

Are you playing the game from a physical disc copy or a digital version?

The Xbox One S without the disc drive is the All Digital version of the console. Meaning it it plays only digital copies of the games that is linked to your account.

As many gamers have moved away from physical copies completely in recent years they have brought this console to the market.

I already got the physical copy of the game and when I saw the trailer it said avaible digitally on March 2016. If I buy the gig tap version of the game will all my data from the physical version be on the digital
