Moving everthing from one Xbox S to another Xbox S

    Hi all

Maybe I am too old to understand this, but also my son is not 100 % sure:

After 1 year we have a warranty issue with our xbox one s and the shop want to exchange the whole unit. Of course we have some games installed (Minecraft, Farming, Fortnight) and we have 2 profiles, me and my son.

What we have to do BEFORE returning the old one (the box is working normal, it is a hardware issue).

How do we get the games etc. back on the new one?

Thanks for your help and best greetings from Prague!

    Heinz

    :)

XBox 360 to XBox One S

Moving from 360 to Xbox One S soon. Do I need to save downloaded 360 content/games to Cloud in order to play them on Xbox One S, or is there another transfer process?

  3. New console

    Hello Hampuz,

The short answer to your question "Can I re-install those on my new Xbox One S", is yes. Your games and apps are tied to your Xbox Live account and you should not have any problems using them on your new Xbox One S. For move information see, "Moving
from the original Xbox One console to the Xbox One S
    ".

    Good luck and good gaming,

    SA

There are a few ways to do this. The simplest, but least efficient, is to sign onto the new console with your accounts, and then you can reinstall everything at no extra charge. Your game saves are in the cloud, so they'll be back when you sign in again.

If you have access to both consoles at the same time and they are both on your home network, you can use the Network Transfer process to move games from one console to the other.

The most efficient option, but not the cheapest, is to use an external USB 3.0 hard drive (at least 256GB in size) and move all the games from the old console to the external drive. Then, plug the drive into the new console and you can use it right then, or
move the games onto the new console's hard drive.

If you have questions about any of these options, please ask and someone will clarify/expand on it!

    Hello Heinz!

Thank you for bringing this inquiry to our attention here on the forums. I understand you are going to be replacing your console and have questions about recovering content on the replacement Xbox One S. Just make sure that you have your Microsoft Account
Email and Password for the accounts that have games on them or progress. Then once you have the new console you just need to recover your Microsoft account onto the console and you can reinstall all your games and pick up right where you left off in game.
    You may want to
Reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One
to remove anything you have on the old unit before sending it off.

    hope this helps!

High latency but only on one of the two Xbox ones in my house

It must be the xbox or settings in it because if i unplug everthing and put my sons xbox one S in its place then the latency is 16, hope that helps. Thanks
