Moving data to a new external USB Drive

So I have a 1tb external drive that is hooked up to my Xbox One. It is like 94% full. So I bought a 2tb drive and hooked that up. I would like to move everything from the 1tb to the 2tb and unhook the 1tb. Is there a way to do this all at once? The
only way I see is one game/app at a time. I plugged the drives in to my Windows 10 machine but I can't seem to do it through that.

    Thanks in advance!

    :)

  2. How do I perform a data transfer between two different Xbox One consoles? (Day One XB1 (500GB) to new COD XB1 (1TB)?

Easiest way is to attach a 500gb external USB 3.0 drive to the old console and move the data to the external drive, then connect that drive to the new console and transfer the data back, or just use the external

Question about gameplay performance when installed to USB Drive

Games don't perform as well played on external storage because of bandwidth restraints. USB drives aren't as consistent as reading and writing data compared to a hard drive. I think the xboxs drivers limit the flash drive also so you won't see an improvement
by getting a faster USB drive. I would buy a new hard drive instead Moving data to a new external USB Drive :)

The best thing I can tell you to do is transfer any games that are currently stored on your Xbox One to the new hard drive. After doing that hook the old one up to your Xbox and transfer the games from that hard drive to your Xbox. Put the 2 TB drive
back in and transfer to it from the system. Wash rinse repeat.

You have to click each game individually, but you can do them all quickly and they will queue up and continue on one at a time in the background. I think I had 10 or so games in queue at once when I hooked up my new drive not long ago.

    360s HDD Question

    Hey there DirrrrtyFlow !

You do not 'need' a Data transfer cable by any means. If you do not care about save data for games you could just go about Downloading your profile to the new storage device. If you want to transfer all of your save data and content to the new HDD, you can
use any standard USB pen/flash drive or even and external USB hard drive to back up your data, and then move it onto the new HDD when it is installed into the console.

    Hope this helps.

best way to transfer saves from old hd to new hd?

You can use the upcoming Slim to slim transfer cable to do the transfer or you can use either a USB flash drive or an external hard drive.

However you will only be able to use a maximum of 16GB.

So you can move everything over to the USB flash drive or external hard drive (including your gamertag) or you can only move your game saves etc and then recover your gamertag on the new console. Then move it again from the USB to the new console
